In Defense of Attack Of The Clones

It’s no secret I love Attack Of The Clones.  It’s also no secret I’m in the minority here.  Even among those who love the Prequels, Attack Of The Clones is often ranked last when the films are discussed.  But not for me!  I’ve said it before and I’ll proudly say it again: I love the Prequels and Attack Of The Clones is my favorite film of the Trilogy!  On that note, a few months back, Kiri (of Star Wars Anonymous) and I were having a comment section conversation about this film when she proposed an intriguing idea.  She suggested we do twin posts, she writing about her disdain for the film (while trying to highlight some things she enjoys about it) while I write on my undying affection for this cinematic masterpiece (while pointing out some things that bother me).  Obviously, I was in.  Can I convince you, my lovely reader, of its brilliance?  I say…GAME ON.

Star Wars ComLINKS: Favorite Quote

Okay, alright, yes…to pick any one Star Wars quote as my all time favorite is pretty much impossible.  There are SO MANY brilliant lines to choose from and SO MANY have become a regular part of my life.  Any fan can tell you there are several Star Wars quotes to fit any occasion.  But Jenmarie clearly gets this and that’s why this month’s ComLINKS prompt asks, “If you were to pick one favorite quote, which would it be and why?”  Did you see that “one” in there?  I can pick one favorite quote, easy.  And, just like last month, I didn’t even hesitate in my choice.  I immediately knew what I’d write about.  So what’s my favorite Star Wars quote?  Drum roll please….

While my record with posting in the Star Wars ComLINKS series is far from perfect, I pride myself on being the first link added (for the ones I write) when Jenmarie has the post go live on Anakin and His Angel.  Welllllllllll this linkup went live on October 18th.  YIKES.  Now I must wrestle with not meeting the arbitrary standards I set for myself.  Mea culpa!  My angsty writer issues aside, this month’s (or last month’s technically) topic is (was) to choose our favorite score in the films and discuss why it means so much to us/speaks to us in the way it does.  Are you ready to know mine?!  Has the featured image already given it away?!?
